Community IT support for nonprofits & charities
The same senior IT governance a well-resourced organization would have — priced to fit a nonprofit budget.

Many nonprofits already have IT execution — an MSP, a contractor, a volunteer, or a staff member wearing the "IT person" hat alongside their real job. What's usually missing is IT leadership: someone managing that work against your mission, holding vendors accountable, and making sure limited technology dollars get spent efficiently.
Waypoint doesn't replace your current provider, staff, or volunteer support. I support the day-to-day as a force multiplier for whoever is already keeping things running.
Who this is for?
You have an MSP or IT contractor — but no board member or staff has the technical background to know whether you're being well served, or held to what was promised.
IT falls to a staff member or volunteer as an extra duty — capable, but stretched thin, and without a peer to sanity-check decisions.
A funder or grant requires IT governance or security documentation — and you need it built without diverting staff time from your mission.
You want board-level confidence in your IT — without a full-time hire your budget can't support.
What's included
IT Provider Oversight — Managing and holding your MSP, contractor, or volunteer IT lead accountable to agreed scope and priorities.
Microsoft & Azure Grants — Access to nonprofit licensing programs and Azure credits: application, setup, and ongoing management.
Vendor Management — Contract reviews for phone, internet, and IT vendors, so you know you're not overpaying for services you depend on.
Grant Compliance — IT documentation support for funder reporting and compliance requirements.
Security Reviews — Posture assessments and risk mitigation to protect donor and beneficiary information.
Microsoft 365 & SharePoint — Modern workplace setup: SharePoint, Teams, and Intune device management.
Board & Volunteer Onboarding — Simple, secure IT onboarding for boards, staff turnover, and volunteers.
IT Health Audits — An unbiased evaluation of your current environment and support, and a natural first step.
Documentation — Playbooks and infrastructure guides that stay with your organization.
Why Waypoint for nonprofits
Before founding Waypoint, I served in senior roles on the Board of Directors for two Grande Prairie charities, where I led their IT modernization — securing Microsoft and Azure nonprofit grants and deploying SharePoint and Teams.
I understand nonprofit budgets, board dynamics, and the particular challenges these organizations face. I also know most already have someone doing the day-to-day. My role is to make sure that work is accountable, strategic, and aligned with your mission.
Giving back to organizations doing this work in our community isn't just something I offer — it's something I believe in.
Pricing
Community pricing is available to registered charities, at a substantial discount to standard commercial rates for both monthly retainers and project work. Larger nonprofits are welcome too, at a discount off standard tiers.
Ask and I'll send the full community rate card — no discovery process required.
